Do Drivers Have to Take Detours?

No. We only look at stations near where the truck already is, inside a radius you set (10 miles by default). Your team decides which stop to send.

Which Fuel Prices Do You Use?

Your contract prices come first. If you turn on retail pricing, stations without a contract price use retail instead.

How Often Are Recommendations Updated?

A truck’s recommendation is recalculated when its fuel band changes, when it moves more than 3 miles, when it gains or loses a GPS position, when the recommendation is more than 30 minutes old, and when new contract prices are uploaded.

How Is Range Estimated?

Range is the fuel level above your reserve, multiplied by tank size and MPG. Tank size and MPG come from the ELD or VIN where available, your truck inputs or your fleet defaults, with a platform fallback of 100 gallons and 6.5 MPG.

What Do Low and Critical Mean?

They are fuel bands. By default a truck is Low at or below 30% fuel and Critical at or below 15%. You can change both thresholds in your notification settings.

Savings

How Do You Calculate Savings?

From your actual fuel card purchases. For each station and month we compare the median price you paid with the cheapest other station your trucks used in the same state, multiply the difference by a typical fill, and rate it High, Medium or Low confidence. It's an estimate, and we label it as one.

Are Savings Figures Guaranteed?

No. They are modeled estimates built from your own purchase history, showing where a cheaper station your fleet already used in the same state and month would have lowered spend.

Which Purchases Are Included in the Savings Audit?

Imported purchases with the fuel transaction type Truck Diesel and a Retail PPU.

Data and Integrations

Which ELDs Do You Work With?

We connect through your ELD's API, one connection per subsidiary. The docs list what's supported today, or just email us about yours.

Which Contract Price Files Can I Upload?

CSV and Excel price sheets from Love's, Pilot/Flying J and TA Petro, up to 10 MB. Common column names are recognized automatically.

Can I Import the Same File Twice?

Yes, safely. Uploading an identical file changes nothing, and individual rows that were already imported are skipped.

Do Drivers Need to Install an App?

No. Your office team uses FuelRouteX. Truck location and fuel level come straight from the ELD.

Account and Pricing

How Much Does It Cost?

It depends on the size of your fleet. Email sales@fuelroutex.com and we'll put a plan together.

How Do We Get Started?

Email sales@fuelroutex.com. We set up your organization and subsidiaries and invite your first admin, then you connect your ELD, upload your prices and invite the rest of your team.

How Do We Add or Remove Users?

Tenant admins manage users in Settings → Office Users. They can invite people by email with a role, resend or revoke pending invitations, change roles, deactivate or reactivate users and remove them from the organization. Invitations expire after 7 days.

Can We Manage Several Companies in One Account?

Yes. Each subsidiary has its own ELD connection, and users can be limited to the subsidiaries they work with.

How Do You Protect Our Data?

Integration tokens are encrypted and never shown again after you save them. Access is limited by role and subsidiary, and changes to settings, connections, users and imports are logged.

Where Can I Read Your Terms and Conditions?

Our Customer Terms and Conditions (version 1.1, effective November 1, 2026) cover subscriptions, billing, data rights, liability and cancellation.

How Do You Handle Personal Information?

Our Privacy Notice explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and that we never sell personal information or share one fleet's contract prices with another.
